Learn How to Be River Smart and Protect the Farmington River with Laura Hart, Conservation Director of the FRWA
Virtual Presentation April 14 7PM – 8PM
Laura will explain the research work that FRWA does in the Farmington River Watershed, highlighting the Canton area, including water quality monitoring of bacteria, temperature, salt, and macroinvertebrates. She will explain the connection between water and land and the number one water quality issue facing the Farmington River – stormwater pollution. She’ll explain ways individuals can make a positive impact on water quality while also helping the local wildlife. Rain gardens as a green infrastructure solution and other at home projects and actions will be discussed. Join us in learning about being River Smart.
