Join FRWA on January 18th for “It all Happened on the Farmington”

You Are Invited To The Farmington Land Trust First Program of 2015!

“It All Happened on the Farmington River: A Story of Historic Sites, Fish, Factories, Floods & Flows”Presented by Dr. Eileen Fielding, Executive Director of the FRWA

FLT Board member Dr. Charlie Leach will open the program with a brief discussion of the role of the Farmington River in the creation of the Farmington Land Trust.  Dr. Fielding will share with us how the river affected early settlement, agriculture, the growth of greater Hartford, the rise of the recreation industry and other regional historic events. She will outline how the industrial revolution and subsequent pollution affected the river, and detail the story of native fish and wildlife as it has unfolded over the centuries.
